So Frustrated!

Ugh, it's so frustrating to be knitting along and really seeing the pattern design come to life and you discover you made a simple mistake. Survey says, frog it, rip it back, no problem. Well it is a problem when you can't read your knitting. I know this is an important skill but I was spoiled by my LYS owner in Los Angeles who could take one look at anything and fix it in a heartbeat. In an attempt to learn, I started to tink, didn't work, lost a stitch on a k2tog and that my friends was the beginning of the end. 3 hours of knitting and all that ribbing down the drain because even when I got to the ribbing I couldn't manage to get that damn needle in every stitch. It makes me want to knit simple things because the support I apparently need, is simply not available here! Rant over!

No photo taken before the incident, sorry. It was so pretty too.

Yes, I've already cast on and on a very positive note, I'm being followed by two fellow bloggers/rav-ers. Andrea has joined us and she's an amazing resource to me in my quest to own a CSM (Circular Sock Machine). I can't tell you how much information she's sent my way and I'm thrilled to have her join us! Angela and Andrea, is there an Andrew out there? She knows a lot about guns so don't piss her off, ya'hear?

AAwww,,, you need a love or hug button!!!! I still can't get the hang of designing, the "Ida Know" project is a total UGH right now. The yarn isn't as firm as I needed it.

My blog is relatively speaking, rated G so I won't tell you what button I really need. ;-) For now, thank you I'll take the hug.

Is the "Ida Know" a bag or a basket? If it's a bag, you could line it to give it more stability.

OMG...That is the SAME problem I have been having on my Hey, Teach! cardigan from the summer issue of Knitty.com. I'm a new knitter and I bet i've frogged this stupid thing 10 times if not once all the way down to the ribbing! I lost my stitches and cant get the needles back in as well. Glad to know i'm not the only one! And I too get bored waaaay to easily. My friends say I have A.D.D...But thats just craz......Hey Look! Yarn!

I feel your pain Krystal. I screwed my scarf up again but this time got lucky and found a new yarn store which I'll be posting about tomorrow. She fixed it right quick and I made a new best friend. Thanks for visiting.

Hey Joe, it happens to the best of us. I have found a few mistakes in the shawl I am working on, but luckily there are not visible to the non knitter eyes! That is why I have multiple projects going...complicated ones I work at when I am home with no distractions and those simple ones like socks for when I am at a knitting gathering or knitting in public and have to stop 100 times to answer stupid questions...oh you knit...what are you knitting, How long have you been knitting. And the one that gets me every time....why waste so much time on a pair of socks when you can go buy a package! Which my general rude response is...knitting keeps me from picking my nose!
Hang in the guy... even after knitting for almost 11 years I still make mistakes, some can go unnoticed and others require ripping. Just know you are in good company.

Ed, hey, I hope you're feeling better or at least loaded (loved your home remedy for the the cough)! How's the store coming along? Hmm, lots of questions, I may need to send you an email because I think I'm going to have to get that instant messenger thing we talked about because I'm 99% sure I'm getting the new Blackberry. I think it can start the car.

And thanks for the pep talk. I was very frustrated when I posted but things are looking up!
